The Don Ausman Scholarship is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Don Ausman, a passionate advocate for community engagement and lifelong learning. This scholarship provides financial assistance to MSU students committed to service, leadership, and making a meaningful impact through Alternative Spartan Breaks (ASB). Awarded based on a student’s dedication to civic engagement and their ability to demonstrate a deep commitment to social issues, the scholarship supports participants in making a difference both during and beyond their ASB experience.​​

Scholarship Details: ​

Purpose: Reduces program costs for students participating in Alternative Spartan Breaks (ASB).

Eligibility: Open to MSU undergraduate students who have already applied for an ASB experience.

Coverage: Covers up to 75% of ASB program fees.

Focus: Specifically supports community service during weeklong breaks, with an emphasis on accessibility and community impact.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis until all available funds are awarded. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as funding is limited.​​
